The Aikyam Platform supports passwordless authentication to eliminate traditional passwords and improve security for members, patients, and healthcare providers.
Aikyam uses strong, phishing-resistant factors to reduce credential theft and streamline access. It verifies identity using device-based cryptographic keys or time bound codes instead of static passwords.
Aikyam supports two primary passwordless methods: Passkeys and Time-based one-time passwords (TOTP).
Passkeys
Passkeys provide a phishing-resistant, device-bound authentication method based on the FIDO2 and WebAuthn standards.
Time-based one-time passwords (TOTP)
Time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) are rotating numeric codes generated every 30 seconds. It relies on a shared secret between Aikyam and the authenticator app.
