Phone‑Based Identity Confirmation (PBIC) supports the following account recovery scenarios:
- Forgotten password recovery.
- Passkey recovery.
- Account recovery after multiple failed sign‑in attempts.
- Account recovery when the phone number on file is missing or incorrect.
PBIC is used only when enabled for the application and applicable to the recovery flow.
