Phone‑Based Identity Confirmation (PBIC) follows defined data‑handling boundaries:
Date of birth is used
only to identify the account.
Date of birth is not stored.
Date of birth is not transmitted as part of PBIC verification.
Only the phone number entered during PBIC is saved if it differs from the existing profile value.
Voice over IP (VoIP) numbers with extensions are not supported.
PBIC is not available outside account recovery flows.
