Configure Single Sign-On (SSO)

Scenario
An administrator needs to configure Single Sign-On (SSO) for an application in the Aikyam Identity Console (AIC) to provide a seamless login experience across integrated applications. With SSO, users authenticate once and can access the application without repeated sign-ins, improving usability while maintaining security controls such as token validation and policy enforcement. Depending on the integration model, the administrator can configure Inbound SSO (external identity provider authenticates the user) or Outbound SSO (AIC authenticates the user and enables access to an external application), ensuring the application meets organizational security and compliance requirements.
Prerequisites
  • Administrator has access to the Applications page with role-based permissions.
  • The application is already registered in AIC.
  • SSO type (Inbound or Outbound) and integration requirements are finalized.
Roles authorized
  • Application administrator
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications from the left navigation pane.
  3. Search for and select the application you want to configure.
  4. Go to the SSO tile.
  5. Click View & Update.
  6. Click Create integration and choose the integration type:
    • SSO Inbound
    • SSO Outbound
  7. Configure required fields for the selected type (Identifier, assertion type, tenant integration, URLs, MFA options).
  8. Click Save to apply changes.
Note:
  • Inbound SSO: Use when an external IDP authenticates users and AIC trusts the inbound assertion.
  • Outbound SSO: Use when AIC authenticates users and sends an assertion to an external application.
  • SSO is not available for M2M applications.
