Disable an application

Scenario
An administrator needs to Disable an application in the Aikyam Identity Console (AIC) to prevent new user logins during maintenance, security patching, or a potential compliance issue. Disabling the application stops it from processing authentication and authorization requests, ensuring that no new sessions are created while existing users remain unaffected. This action helps protect sensitive data and maintain system integrity during critical updates or investigations.
Prerequisites
  • Administrator has access to the Applications page with role-based permissions.
  • The application is currently active in AIC.
  • A valid reason for disabling the application is documented.
Roles authorized
  • Application administrator
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications from the left navigation pane.
  3. Search and select the application you want to disable .
  4. Go to General Information tile.
  5. Click View & Update.
  6. Click Deactivate to finish this action.
Note: Once disabled, the application stops processing authentication and authorization requests.
