Scenario
A user account was locked due to multiple failed password attempts or security concerns. After verifying the reason and ensuring compliance, the support agent uses the Aikyam Identity Console to unlock the account, restoring access without losing historical data or audit trails. The agent records an Incident ID for audit purposes.
Prerequisites
  • Agent has access to the Users page with role-based permissions.
  • User profile exists in the system.
  • Reason for unlocking is documented (e.g., Incident ID).
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. Navigate to Users from the left navigation pane.
  3. Use Basic search.
  4. If no result, use Advanced search.
  5. Select the user profile from the search results.
  6. Click Unlock account at the top of the profile page (next to the username).
  7. Confirm unlock action to restore access.
Note:
  • Unlocking restores access without losing historical data or audit trails.
  • Always record Incident ID for compliance.
  • Consider resetting the password if the lock was due to suspicious activity.
