Delegate access to app advocates

Last update:
Aug 21, 2026
An administrator assigns an application advocate as the owner of a specific application (application owner), allowing them to manage user access to the application at a more granular level. The application owner can further delegate responsibilities by assigning additional application owners or group owners. Group owners manage user access within specific groups in applications. They assign users based on their roles and ensure that each group member has the appropriate permissions for their tasks.
Note: Unlike application administrators, group owners can manage user access only for the applications they own.

Assign an application owner

To assign an application owner:
  1. Sign in to the Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select Applications. Alternatively, you can select View Application tile on the Dashboard.
  3. Select the application for which you want to assign an application owner.
  4. Go to the Security tile and click View & Update.
  5. Under the General tab, click (+) Add next to the Application Owners field.
  6. In the Add Application Owner dialog box, select the search type and enter the email address, username, or UUID into the designated search field, then click Searchh.
  7. Click Add against the displayed name and click Confirm Assignment.
Now, the assigned app owner can manage the application and user lifecycles for their designated applications.
Note: You can add multiple application owners to any application. By default, the super admin, organization admin, or application admin is the owner of the application.
