Configure banner and alert messages

Scenario
An administrator needs to configure Banner and Alert messages for an application in the Aikyam Identity Console (AIC) to communicate important information to users during sign-in. Banner messages appear persistently at the top of the sign-in page, while alert messages are displayed as pop-up notifications after the user lands on the page. These configurations help organizations share critical updates such as scheduled maintenance, compliance notices, or urgent alerts, ensuring transparency and improving user engagement.
Prerequisites
  • Administrator has access to the Applications page with role-based permissions.
  • The application is already registered in AIC.
  • Banner and alert message content is finalized and approved by the business team.

  • Application administrator
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications from the left navigation pane.
  3. Search for and select the application.
  4. Go to the Branding & Customization tile.
  5. Click View & Update.
  6. Configure:
    • Banner message: Enter text in the editor for persistent display at the top of the sign-in page.
    • Alert message:Add an Alert header and Alert body using the text editor for pop-up notifications.
  7. Click Save.
Note:
  • Use banner messages for general updates (e.g., maintenance schedules).
  • Use alert messages for critical notifications (e.g., policy changes, urgent actions).
  • Text editor supports formatting for better readability.
