Deactivate bulk user accounts

Scenario
An operational, security, or compliance requirement necessitates temporarily restricting access for multiple user accounts. Deactivating each account individually is inefficient and increases the risk of inconsistencies. The support agent uses the Bulk action feature in the Aikyam Identity Console to deactivate user accounts in bulk, ensuring access is restricted while preserving all account data and audit history. This approach supports controlled access restriction and compliance requirements at scale.
Prerequisites
  • Access to the Bulk action page.
  • The request is raised or approved by the application owner or portal owner.
  • A CSV file containing valid user identifiers in the required format.
  • User accounts exist in an active state.
  • A documented reason for deactivation (for example, Incident ID), where required by process.
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. From the left navigation pane, select Bulk action.
  3. Select Deactivate user to open the bulk activation workflow.
  4. Click Submit to initiate the bulk activation process.
Note:
  • Bulk deactivation temporarily restricts access; all user data and historical audit records remain intact.
  • Bulk action requests are performed by Support Tier 2 only, on behalf of the application owner or portal owner.
  • Locking or unlocking accounts due to failed sign‑in attempts is a separate process.
