Manage authenticator setup for a user

Last update:
Aug 21, 2026
Scenario
A user contacts support reporting that sign‑in stops during verification, that they are unable to complete authentication using an authenticator, or that they are unsure which authenticator is configured on their account. The user may request assistance to remove or disable the authenticator to regain access. An administrator reviews the user’s authentication activity to understand recent authenticator usage and based on the user’s request, manages the authenticator setup at the user level using audit visibility and user management capabilities.
Prerequisites
  • Administrator has access to the Users page based on role permissions.
  • A user identifier (for example, username or email address) and an approximate date and time of the reported sign‑in issue.
  • Explicit user confirmation for the requested authenticator action.
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. Navigate to Users from the left navigation pane.
  3. Search for the user using Basic search or Advanced search and open the user profile.
  4. Go to the Activities tab to view the User activity events recorded for the user.
  5. Go to Account settings in the user profile and locate the Authenticator section.
  6. Perform the requested authenticator action to support access recovery (for example, Enable, Disable, or Remove).
  7. Confirm the action to complete the request.
Note:
  • Authenticators are user level authentication factors used during multi factor authentication.
  • Authenticator management actions support access recovery and do not modify application configuration or authentication policies.
