Scenario
An administrator needs to configure Password policies for an application in the Aikyam Identity Console (AIC) to enforce strong authentication standards and protect user accounts from unauthorized access. Password policies define complexity requirements such as minimum length, special characters, and reuse restrictions. By implementing these policies, organizations can reduce the risk of credential-based attacks, comply with regulatory standards, and ensure a secure user experience across healthcare portals.
Prerequisites
  • Administrator has access to the Applications page with role-based permissions.
  • The application is already registered in AIC.
  • Organizational password complexity and compliance requirements are finalized.
Roles authorized
  • Application administrator
Steps
  1. Sign in to Aikyam Identity Console.
  2. Navigate to Applications from the left navigation pane.
  3. Search for and select the application.
  4. Go to the Policy tile.
  5. Click View & Update.
  6. Under Password, configure :
    1. Minimum/maximum length
    2. Special characters
