User authorization

Authorization defines user access by assigning roles, permissions, and group memberships to maintain security and compliance. The Aikyam Identity Console (AIC) supports role-based access controls to enforce least-privilege principles.
Administrators and authorized roles can perform the following actions:
  1. Assign or revoke roles- Grant or remove roles that define user privileges across applications and groups.
  2. View group membership - Check the groups a user belongs to for context on inherited permissions.
  3. Manage access inheritance policy - Control how roles and permissions propagate across organizational hierarchies.
  4. View role visibility by application - Review application-level roles to confirm correct access configuration.
Roles authorized:
  • Support operations Tier 2 – Can assign or revoke roles and manage access inheritance.
  • Application owner – Can authorize users within the application scope by assigning app-specific roles and groups.
  • Group owner – Can manage user membership and roles within their group.
Note: Access, roles, and groups are supported for OHID tenants only.
